This is a Limited First Edition of 100 copies for the Tkid 170 show at Village Works from September 22 to October 13, 2022.Curated in association with Dominic Bielak, Damian Bielak, Reymi Gil, and Joseph Sheridan of Village Works.

> South Bronx born Julius Cavero...

> as a kid told by neighborhood gang, he would need to join them and add their gang name to his "scribbles" or stop writing "king 13" in the park

> Did just that until he was shot!

> While recuperating, his brother Alex brought him a sketch pad and markers to encourage Julius' love for art and he began to perfect his bubble letters.

> combined two nicknames, "T" and "Kid" and abandoned gang life to pursue art by way of the train yards where he stood out for his vibrant colors

> A pioneer of using canvas, he was invited in 1980 by Zephyr and Futura 2000 to be a part of the Sam Esses project, joining Case2, Haze and Bilrock, among others.

> first gallery show in 1982 sold out at 1199 Gallery > then FASHION MODA Gallery > then FUN GALLERY! > then Soho, Europe and the World and now highly collected and auctioned!

> Tkid’s autobiography, "The Nasty Terrible Tkid170" sold out its first and second printing, now highly collectible.
